May 2013 marks the restaurant debut of newly weds Billy and Kaitlin Kretsch. Both dreamed of opening a business together. Kaitlin a teacher and Billy in sales both quit their jobs and followed their dream with the help, support, and guidance of Kaitlin's parents Mary and Joe Barrutia. Both stem from their own experience in the restaurant industry.
With Kaitlin's time spent working and managing her parents Palatine restaurant Agio Italian Bistro, known for huge wine selection and amazing food and Billy, with his years working at the well known La Tasca of Arlington Heights.
Jelly Café starts their next adventure. Featuring local produce and fresh tastes, Jelly encompasses the fun and passion of its owners. The café brings a modern perspective to traditional breakfast fare. Savory dishes and local artwork, together with friendly faces make their mark on Mount Prospect and Palatine.
